Mission
Compost Impact

Your efforts reduce your carbon footprint, benefiting both you and our entire community!

Mission Compost is built on the spirit to do the right thing to divert organic material away from landfills and put the organic material back into our community.

Divert

Mission Compost has diverted more than 1.3 million pounds of compost from the landfill since 2022!

Mission Compost weighs each bin at your service. You can access in real-time how much you have prevented from being put into the landfill. Today only 5% of wasted food is composted. There is still much more to divert and turn into nutrient rich soil. Check out an example of an Impact Statistic Report here

Contribute

Mission Compost and your efforts have donated 360 cubic feet of soil to our community!

Even if soil is not going into your backyard, it is still being put into our community to help build our soil’s health and longevity!

Prevent

Mission Compost has prevented 956,732 pounds of CO2e emissions by composting your waste vs being emitted into the landfill.

This is equivalent to…

  • Greenhouse gas emissions from 1,109,898 miles driven by an average gasoline-powered passenger vehicle.

  • CO2 emissions from 48,832 gallons of gasoline consumed

By working together as a community, it would take 7,176 trees grown for 10 years to sequester the same amount of carbon.

Track

Mission Compost operates at net neutral carbon, meaning we are able to compensate for our emissions to run Mission Compost.

We take a look at how much CO2e we are emitting and ensure we always operate at net neutral carbon. We want to make a difference for our community, not add to the problem!
